Aston Villa hosts Brentford at Villa Park following international break

Aston Villa is set to host Brentford at Villa Park this Saturday, October 10, marking the return of Premier League action following an international break.

Aston Villa enters the match looking to build on recent momentum, including a victory against Club Brugge in the Champions League. However, manager Unai Emery faces squad rotation challenges due to fitness concerns and injuries. Players such as Amadou Onana, Ian Maatsen, and Leon Goretzka are expected to be unavailable, while Matty Cash is dealing with a minor injury.

Brentford arrives in the Midlands currently positioned fourth in the standings. The head-to-head history favors the visitors, as Villa has lost three of their last three encounters against Brentford.
