Aston Villa hosts Nottingham Forest in Premier League clash

Aston Villa is set to host Nottingham Forest at Villa Park on Saturday, September 12, as both teams seek to find consistency in the early stages of the Premier League season.

Aston Villa enters the match struggling for domestic form. Despite a recent 3-2 Champions League victory against Club Brugge, the team has earned only one point from their first three Premier League matches, failing to score a single goal in that period. Manager Unai Emery faces the challenge of integrating new signings following a summer transfer window that altered the squad's hierarchy. Notable absences include Leon Goretzka and Johan Manzambi due to knee injuries, though new signing Taylor Harwood-Bellis may make his debut.

Nottingham Forest arrives following the appointment of manager Oliver Glasner. The squad features Colombian player Daniel Muñoz, who recently transferred from Crystal Palace. Both clubs are looking to move up the league standings after a difficult start to the campaign.
