Aston Villa interested in Aaron Wan-Bissaka transfer

Aston Villa, Fulham, Everton, and Aston Villa have reportedly expressed interest in acquiring defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka from West Ham United. Aston Villa is specifically looking to bolster its defense ahead of Champions League participation.

Negotiations face significant hurdles due to Wan-Bissaka’s current contract, which runs until 2031. West Ham is reportedly seeking a transfer fee in the region of £25 million to €30 million. The club is also motivated to reduce its wage bill following relegation to the Championship.

While Unai Emery is said to favor a loan deal with an option to buy, West Ham’s high valuation and the player's previous high wages present challenges for potential suitors. Aston Villa and Fulham are considered unlikely to match his former Premier League salary levels due to squad cost ratio constraints.
