Aston Villa negotiating transfer for Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Aston Villa has reportedly reached an agreement in principle on personal terms with defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Negotiations are currently ongoing between Aston Villa and West Ham United regarding a transfer fee estimated between £20 million and £27 million (€27 million).
West Ham United, who acquired the 28-year-old from Manchester United in 2024 for £15 million, is seeking a valuation in the region of £25 million to sanction a permanent move. The acquisition is viewed as a priority for manager Unai Emery, who seeks to provide defensive rotation and competition for Matty Cash.
Wan-Bissaka is noted for his defensive capabilities in isolated situations and recovery pace, which may assist Emery’s tactical approach of maintaining a high defensive line. The move would also provide the club with defensive versatility, as the player is capable of operating in central defense.
