Aston Villa pursues Nicolas Jackson and Jonathan David
Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is actively pursuing offensive reinforcements during the summer transfer window, focusing on two primary targets: Nicolas Jackson and Jonathan David.
Negotiations are reportedly progressing for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson. The Senegalese forward has indicated his approval for the move, and Emery is keen to reunite with the player following their previous collaboration at Villarreal. However, a final agreement remains pending as Chelsea is expected to seek a valuation in the region of £60–65 million.
Additionally, Emery is advocating for the signing of Juventus striker Jonathan David to provide competition for Ollie Watkins and Tammy Abraham. While Emery views the Canadian as an ideal fit, the transfer faces significant financial hurdles. David’s current salary is estimated at approximately €6 million net per year, a figure Aston Villa has found difficult to match. Furthermore, the player has shown hesitation regarding a move away from Turin.
