Aston Villa and Al Hilal engaged in major transfer negotiations

Major transfer activity is unfolding involving Aston Villa, Al Hilal, and Galatasaray. Al Hilal has submitted an official €45 million bid for Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins, seeking a replacement for Karim Benzema. While Watkins has reportedly agreed to personal terms, Aston Villa has rejected multiple approaches and is holding out for a fee closer to €60 million. The club has also offered Watkins a new contract until 2030 to secure his future.

In a separate high-profile pursuit, Al Hilal reportedly increased its offer for Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen to €150 million, alongside a proposed €50 million annual salary. Galatasaray has rejected the massive bid, with the club and player expressing a desire to remain in Turkey.

Additionally, midfielder Joao Palhinha remains a subject of intense negotiation. While Aston Villa has shown interest, Benfica is leading the race for the Bayern Munich player, as Palhinha reportedly favors a return to Portugal due to family considerations. Meanwhile, Aston Villa has bolstered its defense by signing goalkeeper Zion Suzuki and defender Matteo Ruggeri in deals totaling approximately €60 million.
