Aston Villa ramps up Premier League transfer hunt

Aston Villa, managed by Unai Emery, is emerging as a leading bidder in the summer transfer market. The English club is negotiating with AC Milan for Portuguese winger Rafael Leão, who has asked Milan for permission to leave and is valued at around €50 million. At the same time, Villa has made a loan‑with‑obligation‑to‑buy offer to Chelsea for 22‑year‑old Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho.

The club's spending power has surged after a record £117 million sale of Morgan Rogers to Chelsea, alongside other departures that have generated close to £200 million in profit. Villa aims to replace recent exits on the left wing, including Jadon Sancho, and faces competition from other Premier League sides such as Tottenham and Arsenal for the players' signatures.
