Aston Villa has completed the signing of 18-year-old Senegalese forward Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain. The transfer fee is reported to be between €55 million and £47 million, marking a significant investment for the Premier League club.
Mbaye, a product of the PSG academy, signed a five-year contract with the English side. During his tenure in Paris, he made 42 appearances and won eight trophies, including two UEFA Champions League titles. He also gained international recognition as the youngest African player to score in a World Cup, netting against France.
The move is part of a major squad overhaul under manager Unai Emery following Villa's Europa League success. The club has seen several key departures, including Ollie Watkins, Emiliano Martínez, and Ezri Konsa, while bringing in new talent such as Mbaye, Nicolas Jackson, and Alejandro Garnacho.
