Aston Villa targets Sergio Ramos and Cher Ndour

Aston Villa is actively pursuing defensive and midfield reinforcements to bolster its squad. The club has reportedly initiated negotiations to sign free agent Sergio Ramos. Manager Unai Emery has personally met with the former Real Madrid captain to discuss the club’s technical project, seeking to bring his leadership and experience to the backline following injuries to players like Tyrone Mings. However, because the transfer window is closed, Ramos could only join as a free agent and would be ineligible for UEFA Conference League group stage squads.

In addition to defensive targets, the club is monitoring Italian international midfielder Cher Ndour for a potential January move. The 22-year-old, currently with Fiorentina, is viewed as a versatile option for central or defensive midfield roles. While several Premier League and Serie A clubs are interested in the player, Aston Villa is considering a move for the midfielder, whose market value is estimated between £26 million and £43 million.
