Astonishia Story remake set for February 2027 release
The classic RPG Astonishia Story is receiving a remake scheduled for release on February 11, 2027. Developed by Purple and published in the West by NIS America, the title will be available on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
The remake aims to modernize the original 1994 MS-DOS title with remastered graphics, higher resolution, and an updated script while maintaining its core grid-based tactical combat and character-driven story. For the Nintendo Switch version, a physical limited edition will be released, though no specific physical plans have been announced for the Switch 2.
Players will continue to navigate a fantasy world through strategic positioning and skill usage, following the journey of Lloyd von Reuental.
