Astra International and BKKBN collaborate to prevent stunting

PT Astra International Tbk and the Ministry of Population and Family Development (BKKBN) have strengthened their collaboration to combat stunting in Gedepangrango Village, Sukabumi, West Java. The partnership is implemented through the Astra Prosperous Village program and the Foster Parent Movement to Prevent Stunting (GENTING).

Deputy Minister of Population and Family Development, Ratu Ayu Isyana Bagoes Oka, visited the village to observe the program's implementation. The initiative involves the Family Friend Nutrition Cadres, focusing on nutritional interventions for toddlers and pregnant women, strengthening Posyandu (integrated health post) services, and providing family assistance.

In addition to nutritional support, the program provides non-nutritional aid, including improvements to sanitation facilities, access to clean water, and the renovation of livable housing. The collaboration aims to accelerate the reduction of stunting rates in Indonesia through public-private partnerships.
