ASTRAX representative TAICHI leads space exploration lecture series

TAICHI, representative of the space venture company ASTRAX, is conducting a series of online lectures titled ‘Future Creation Academy’ organized by Terakoya Akebono. The lectures focus on the transition from global to universal human activity through space exploration.

In recent sessions, TAICHI discussed the importance of private-sector leadership in space development and the potential for high-speed Earth-to-Earth transport using spacecraft. Referencing concepts such as Elon Musk’s high-speed transport vision, the lectures highlighted a future where major cities could be connected in under 40 minutes at costs comparable to economy class airfare.

The curriculum also covers the history and mechanics of commercial spacecraft, including Virgin Galactic’s SpaceshipTwo and Blue Origin’s New Shepard. TAICHI emphasized that the era of space travel is becoming accessible to a broader demographic, regardless of age or physical ability, while also addressing the complexities of space policy and licensing in Japan.
