AstraZeneca, BioMarin, and Marriott prepare for quarterly earnings reports
Several major corporations are approaching quarterly earnings announcements, highlighting varying trends across the biopharma and hospitality sectors.
AstraZeneca has reiterated its goal to reach $80 billion in full-year revenue by 2030. To support this, the company is implementing a “Reshaping for Sustainable Growth” program aimed at saving $1.5 billion annually. These savings will be reinvested into drug research, with CEO Pascal Soriot noting that artificial intelligence will play a key role in increasing operational efficiency and supporting the company’s pipeline.
In the biotechnology sector, BioMarin Pharmaceutical is set to report earnings following a previous quarter where it reported $989.7 million in revenue, a 19.9% year-on-year increase. Market analysts are currently expecting a 31.9% year-on-year revenue growth for the upcoming quarter.
In the hospitality industry, Marriott is preparing to release its third-quarter results. While the company missed revenue expectations in the previous quarter with $7.07 billion in revenue, analysts are anticipating a 6.9% year-on-year revenue growth for the current period.
