AstraZeneca Vietnam upgrades pharmaceutical logistics infrastructure
AstraZeneca Vietnam has requested the Ministry of Health to revoke its pharmaceutical business certificate for its current facility in Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City. This move is part of a proactive plan to upgrade and expand its logistics infrastructure to support long-term development goals.
The company is transitioning to a new, larger-scale warehouse system featuring modern technical standards. This new infrastructure will include enhanced storage capacity and advanced cold chain and temperature control systems designed to handle biological inventions and advanced therapeutic treatments.
AstraZeneca stated that the transition will not disrupt the supply of medicines to hospitals and patients. The company is working with the Ministry of Health and relevant authorities to finalize procedures for the new infrastructure to ensure a continuous and stable supply of specialized medical products across Vietnam.
