The Kosovo Assembly's constitutive session has faced repeated interruptions and political deadlock regarding the election of deputy speakers. During recent sessions, Ardian Gola of Lëvizja Vetëvendosje (LVV) was elected with 101 votes. However, subsequent attempts to elect Vlora Çitaku of the PDK failed after she received only 44 votes, leading to walkouts by PDK and LDK deputies.

In response to the impasse, LVV leadership announced a decision to vote for the opposition's candidates, Vlora Çitaku (PDK) and Kujtim Shala (LDK), for the deputy speaker positions. LVV stated this is a gesture of goodwill intended to ensure institutional stability and prevent the need for new, costly elections. They expressed hope that this move would encourage the opposition to act constructively during the upcoming presidential election for Bekim Sejdiu.

Conversely, the PDK has refused to participate in further sessions, arguing that the constitutional deadlines for the assembly's constitution were missed as early as August 7. The PDK has announced it will refer the matter to the Constitutional Court, asserting that the process should not be subject to political bargaining or conditional voting.
