Google introduces AI-driven personalization for Discover and News

Google has announced new features designed to enhance the functionality of Google Discover and Google News. The updates focus on allowing users to personalize their content feeds through an AI-based chat interface.

Users can manage their Discover feeds using natural language commands via a chat-based system. By interacting with specific news cards, users can request to see more or less content from certain topics, outlets, or links. The system is designed to learn user preferences over time to provide a more tailored experience. This update is rolling out first to the Google mobile app, with plans to integrate the experience across desktop Chrome and the Android ecosystem.

Additionally, Google News on Android will receive updates to its daily audio briefings, allowing users to select specific categories such as business, sports, or science to customize their listening experience.
