José Hernández inspires Michoacán students through NASA-related initiatives

Mexican astronaut José Hernández Moreno has launched a series of motivational initiatives and recognitions for students in Michoacán. In Morelia, alongside Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, Hernández delivered a lecture series titled “Con educación, los sueños se cumplen” (With education, dreams come true) to inspire secondary and high school students across various municipalities.

Additionally, Hernández recognized two outstanding students from the Colegio de Estudios Científicos y Tecnológicos de Michoacán (Cecytem), Ana Sofía Zavala Parra and Alexander Serrano González. The students were selected based on academic merit and English proficiency to participate in the international United Space School at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. During the program, they collaborated with international peers to design a simulated manned mission to Mars, gaining experience in science, technology, and teamwork.
