Astropad launches Rock Paper Pencil 4.0 for iPad

Astropad has launched Rock Paper Pencil 4.0, an updated system designed to provide a paper-like writing and drawing experience on iPad displays. The product combines a reusable, nano-textured screen protector with specialized Apple Pencil tips.

The new version introduces two distinct tip options: a steel ballpoint tip for smooth writing and linework, and a new graphite tip made from POM. The graphite tip is engineered to mimic the feel, friction, and sound of a 2B pencil, providing a “soft, toothy drag” intended for sketching and shading. Each kit includes two of each tip type.

The screen protector utilizes NanoCling technology, which uses static cling rather than adhesive to attach to the display. This allows users to apply, remove, and reuse the protector without leaving residue. The product is compatible with most iPad models and all Apple Pencil versions, including the Apple Pencil Pro. Rock Paper Pencil 4.0 is available for $49.99.
