Asturias government distributes 14.5 million euros in agricultural aid

The Government of Asturias has disbursed more than 14.5 million euros in Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) advances to over 5,500 livestock farms. This payment includes more than 7.4 million euros for beef cattle, benefiting 4,512 holdings, and over 6.8 million euros for dairy, benefiting 1,006 holdings.

Additionally, 319,189 euros have been allocated to 33 beekeeping producers to improve honey production and marketing. The early disbursement aims to bolster sector liquidity and mitigate the impact of rising production costs, such as fertilizers, influenced by conflicts in the Middle East. The total expected payments through November 30 are projected to reach 38.8 million euros.
