Asturias Parliament reaches consensus on toll removal and energy infrastructure

The Junta General has reached unanimous agreement across all political parties on several key resolutions. Among the consensus points is a demand for the Spanish Government to eliminate the AP-66 Huerna toll concession.

Additionally, deputies reached a consensus regarding energy policy, calling for a competitive framework for electro-intensive industries and prioritizing the completion of the central electrical ring.

Social and scientific issues also saw cross-party support. The chamber unanimously backed a proposal to strengthen support for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including the creation of a specific center for adults and ensuring care continuity after age 21. Furthermore, a proposal to support research careers through annual predoctoral and postdoctoral aid, multi-year planning, and talent retention measures was also approved without opposition.
