Infrastructure and public works developments in Spain and Peru

Various regional infrastructure projects are underway across Spain and Peru. In Spain, several road improvements have been completed or announced, including the early completion of service road works on the RM-11 in El Campillo de Lorca and pavement renovations on the N-240 near Lleida. Additionally, the municipality of Cuntis has tendered works to improve rural access, and Villaviciosa has allocated funds for fourteen coastal paths.

In Catalonia, a significant project has begun in Badia del Vallès to remove 335 tonnes of asbestos from 127 residential buildings, an initiative described as one of the most important of its kind in Europe. In Asturias, the government has tendered improvements for livestock paths in Yernes y Tameza.

In Peru, significant delays and financial challenges are affecting major public works. The construction of the Hospital II Pasco is facing a slowdown due to approximately S/ 11 million in pending payments from EsSalud. Meanwhile, the School of Medicine at the Universidad Nacional de San Cristóbal de Huamanga (UNSCH) reports a discrepancy between its 70.7% physical progress and 82.85% financial execution, alongside delays in essential equipment procurement.
