In the Avilés region, hospitality businesses report a summer of contrasts. While there is a visible increase in foot traffic and a growing trend of European tourists, this volume of visitors is not consistently translating into higher revenue. Local business owners note that travelers are increasingly controlling their spending. As the costs of accommodation and transportation rise, visitors are allocating less of their budget to dining out, leading to full terraces but lower overall consumption per person.
