Astypalaia to host ‘Stop Violence and Racism’ 3x3 basketball tournament

The island of Astypalaia will host the 3x3 basketball tournament ‘Stop Violence and Racism’ for the first time in its history. The event is scheduled to take place from June 25 to June 27, 2027, at the island's municipal school.

The tournament was officially added to the 2027 calendar following meetings between PSAKK officials, including Special Secretary Ioanna Diela and General Director Kostas Alexandridis, and the Mayor of Astypalaia, Nikos Kominis. The initiative aims to use sports as a tool for education, social cohesion, and the promotion of values such as respect and equality, while delivering a strong message against violence and racism.
