Asuka Cruises and Egypt's Suez Canal Authority launch new cruise discount and incentive programs
Asuka Cruises announced an autumn 2026 promotion offering a US$650 discount to members of its My Asuka Club on voyages of the Asuka III departing from Yokohama. The discount applies to all cabin categories on several November itineraries that include destinations such as Hachinohe, Sendai, Hyuga, Kagoshima, and routes through the Seto Inland Sea. Eligibility requires providing the club membership number at booking, and the benefit can be combined with other offers, though the final fare will not be refunded if the discount lowers the price below the US$650 amount.
The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) introduced an enhanced incentive scheme for cruise ships that allows time spent at the Timsah Lake marina in Ismailia to count toward the mandatory 72‑hour Egyptian port stay. Vessels benefiting from the program can receive a 50% rebate on standard Suez Canal tolls for each round‑trip passage, together with additional incentives aimed at boosting tourist traffic through the canal’s Ismailia port.
