Asuka Publishing to launch Japan’s first AI video creator magazine

Asuka Publishing Co., Ltd. has announced the release of ‘AI Douga Saizensen’ (AI Video Frontline), Japan’s first specialized magazine dedicated to AI video creators, scheduled for publication on October 6, 2026.

Supervised by Akihiko Shirai, representative of AICU Japan, the publication features exclusive interviews with 12 key individuals and companies shaping the industry. Featured entities include KLab, which announced the production of an AI anime film, the Japan Columbia Group, organizers of the ‘COLOTEK’ AI video contest, and L&LV Victor. The magazine also covers the work of acclaimed AI film director Kumiko Endo.

The content aims to provide a comprehensive guide to the current state and future of AI entertainment, covering production techniques, speed, cost-efficiency, and the latest AI tools. Additionally, the magazine addresses critical legal concerns regarding copyright, featuring insights from attorney Kengo Yabuki of Takajumachi Law Office, who participates in the Ministry of Justice’s AI-related legal framework committee.
