ASUN volleyball honors awarded to Yount and Doctor

Two players from Jacksonville-based universities have been named Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) weekly award winners for volleyball.

Haley Yount, a junior middle blocker for Jacksonville University, was named the ASUN Defensive Player of the Week. Yount recorded 15 blocks, averaging 1.36 per set, across three matches during the Gamecock Classic. In addition to her defensive presence, she contributed 15 kills and three service aces during the opening weekend.

Kaili Doctor, an outside hitter for the University of North Florida, earned ASUN Player of the Week honors. Doctor currently leads the conference in kills, kills per set, points, and points per set. Her recent performances included a career-high 28 kills in a victory against Furman and a match-high 14 kills against George Washington.
