Asunción to host MICSUR 2026 cultural summit

Asunción is preparing to host the fifth edition of MICSUR in 2026, centered at the Port of Asunción. The event aims to boost the creative economy by connecting national artists, managers, producers, and cultural entrepreneurs with international professionals.

The upcoming edition will operate under the theme “Culture + Territory + Digital Future” and is expected to include participants from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, and Paraguay.

The National Secretariat of Culture has opened several calls for participation, including rounds for networking and programming, music and performing arts showcases, fashion shows, and pitching sessions. These initiatives are designed to facilitate professional exchange, circulation, and business opportunities within the regional cultural sector.
