Asung Daiso breaks ground on largest logistics hub in Yangju

Asung Daiso has officially commenced construction of its Yangju Hub Center in the Eunnam General Industrial Complex, Yangju, Gyeonggi Province. This facility will serve as the company’s fourth hub and its largest logistics center to date.

The project involves an investment of approximately 600 billion won to develop a facility spanning a total floor area of 206,102 square meters. Scheduled for completion in January 2029, the center will utilize an omni-channel logistics system to integrate online and offline order processing. This design aims to optimize inventory management and reduce operational costs by using a unified system for both Daiso stores and the Daiso Mall online platform.

Advanced automation technologies from global logistics firm Knapp, including Order Storage and Retrieval (OSR) shuttles and Goods-to-Person (GTP) systems, will be implemented. Once operational, the hub is expected to supply roughly 800 stores across the Seoul metropolitan and Gangwon regions and handle a target of 350,000 total daily orders.

The center is also anticipated to have a significant regional economic impact, with expectations of creating approximately 1,000 jobs and fostering cooperation with local businesses.
