ASUS has announced the ROG Gjallar, the first 2.1.2ch gaming soundbar under its Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand. Scheduled for release on September 25, the device is designed to provide immersive spatial audio for gaming, movies, and streaming.

The soundbar features up-firing speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos to simulate overhead sound, alongside full-range speakers and tweeters. It includes a 6.5-inch subwoofer that connects to the main unit via a low-latency 5GHz wireless connection, allowing for flexible placement without cable clutter.

To enhance usability, the product comes with a wired control hub featuring an LCD display for managing volume, EQ settings, input sources, and RGB lighting. The hub also includes a beamforming microphone with Acoustic Echo Cancellation for clear voice chat. Connectivity options are extensive, including HDMI 2.1 (eARC) with 4K/120Hz pass-through, USB-C, optical digital, 3.5mm AUX, and Bluetooth 5.3.
