ASUS issues security updates for router vulnerabilities
ASUS has released security updates to address three high-severity vulnerabilities affecting specific router models. The flaws, identified as CVE-2026-75775, CVE-2026-75779, and CVE-2026-93489, primarily impact devices using the 3.0.0.6_102 firmware branch.
A critical authentication vulnerability (CVE-2026-93489) allows an unauthenticated attacker on an adjacent network to gain administrative access to the router without valid credentials. Such access could enable unauthorized changes to router settings, potentially compromising all connected devices, including smartphones and computers.
ASUS recommends that users immediately install the latest firmware available through the official support page. As a precaution, users unable to update immediately should disable remote WAN management, use strong unique passwords, and monitor active sessions for unknown devices.
