ASUS launches ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 convertible laptop for business and education

ASUS unveiled its new ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 (model B5406FMA) at Computex 2026 in Taipei. The 14‑inch 360° convertible is built for corporate users, students and teachers, weighing 1.34 kg and measuring 14.9 mm thick.

The device is powered by an Intel Core 7 Series 3 processor with a dedicated neural processing unit delivering 18 TOPS for on‑device AI workloads. Configurations can include up to 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM, a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and a 63 Wh battery designed for a full workday. Connectivity features Thunder‑bolt 4, HDMI 2.1, USB‑A ports and Wi‑Fi 7. Security is addressed through the ExpertGuardian suite, a BIOS compliant with NIST SP 800‑193, Windows 11 Secured‑core, FIDO2 authentication and a Kensington Nano lock slot.

The laptop sports dual cameras—a 1080p IR front camera with a physical privacy shutter and a 5 MP rear camera for document capture—and an integrated MPP 2.0 stylus stored in the chassis. It meets MIL‑STD 810H durability standards and carries eco‑certifications such as EPEAT Gold Climate+, Energy Star 9.0 and FSC‑certified packaging.
