ASUS launches ProArt PA40SU 40 Gbps USB4 portable SSD enclosure

ASUS introduced the ProArt PA40SU portable SSD enclosure, offering 40 Gbps data transfer via the USB‑4 protocol. The unit supports both NVMe and SATA M.2 drives in 2280 and 2230 form factors and works with Windows, macOS and Linux. A built‑in four‑stage intelligent fan provides active cooling to prevent thermal throttling, while a tool‑less slide‑switch lets users replace the SSD in under a minute. The enclosure is only 13.5 mm thick and ships with ProArt SSD Dashboard software for real‑time health monitoring. Priced at 569 CNY (about 1 937 CZK), sales begin on 10 July in China.
