ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X20 Expected to Cost Over €1,000 Amid Component Shortage

ASUS’s ROG division announced the upgraded Xbox Ally X20 handheld, featuring a larger OLED display and TMR joysticks. ROG Director of Product Gaming Gabriel Meng told Forbes that ongoing RAM and storage shortages have pushed component costs higher, and those costs will be passed on to consumers.

Meng indicated the price could exceed €1,000, far above the €899 price of the earlier Ally X model. No official launch date or pricing has been released, though the device is slated for a 2026 debut. The higher price reflects the need to use better components amid the current supply‑chain crisis.
