Asus rolls out ROG Xreal AR glasses and Nebula HDR laptop displays

Asus introduced the ROG Xreal R1 AR gaming headset, featuring two transparent micro‑OLED panels that create a virtual 171‑inch screen with a 240 Hz refresh rate and a 3 ms motion‑to‑photon latency. The lightweight 91‑gram device offers anchor and follow head‑tracking modes, an electro‑chrome dimming glass, Bose spatial‑audio, and a dock with HDMI, DisplayPort and USB‑C connections for PCs and consoles. It is priced at €919 and is now available.

Separately, Asus highlighted its ROG Nebula HDR display technology used in premium gaming laptops. Nebula panels can reach peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits, employ Mini‑LED backlighting or OLED panels, support up to 240 Hz refresh rates, 4K resolution, 100 % DCI‑P3 coverage, Pantone validation, VESA HDR certification and Dolby Vision on selected models. The displays appear in the ROG Strix SCAR and Zephyrus families, positioning Asus laptops for both high‑performance gaming and colour‑critical content creation.
