ASUS unveils new ROG Swift OLED gaming monitors
ASUS has announced new ROG Swift OLED gaming monitors, including the ROG Strix OLED XG32UQDS and the PG27UCWM and PG32UCWM models. These displays aim to balance high-resolution visual quality with high refresh rates for competitive gaming.
The XG32UQDS features a 31.5-inch third-generation QD-OLED panel with 4K resolution and a 180 Hz refresh rate. It introduces BlackShield technology, a protective film designed to increase scratch resistance by 2.5 times compared to previous generations and improve perceived black levels by up to 40% under ambient light.
The PG27UCWM (26.5-inch) and PG32UCWM (31.5-inch) models utilize True Tandem RGB panels to improve text clarity and color. These monitors offer 4K resolution at 240 Hz, but can reach 480 Hz when operating at Full HD resolution. They support 10-bit color covering 99% of the DCI-P3 space, along with Dolby Vision, HDR10, G-Sync, and FreeSync Premium Pro. To enhance longevity, these models include a presence sensor to power down the screen when the user is away and use GaN FET power supplies to reduce heat generation.
