Asutifi North Assembly provides support to 37 persons with disabilities

The Asutifi North District Assembly in the Ahafo Region has provided various items to 37 persons with disabilities to support their livelihoods. The assistance included chest freezers, sewing machines, wheelchairs, livestock such as sheep and rabbits, and assorted provisions.

District Chief Executive Hafiz Dauda noted that an increase in the government disability fund allocation from three to five percent enabled the procurement of higher-quality items. To ensure the support is utilized effectively, the Social Welfare Department will monitor beneficiaries to prevent the sale of the provided equipment.
