Asvel and Barcelona announce new signings and sports updates

European sports clubs Asvel and Barcelona have announced new roster additions and recent competitive results.

In basketball, Asvel has signed 25-year-old guard Hugo Besson, who previously played for FMP and Tofaş. Meanwhile, Barcelona has finalized its roster with the signing of 26-year-old forward-center Joan Makundua, following his recent stint in China and a championship season in France.

In handball, Barcelona secured a victory in the Catalonia Super Cup semifinal against Sant Vicenç with a score of 49:23. The team, which features several players of Serbian origin including goalkeeper Sergej Novaković and brothers Petar and Đorđe Cikuša, will advance to the final to face Granollers. Đorđe Cikuša led the scoring in the match with 11 goals.
