ASVEL defeats Roanne in family rivalry led by Toni Parker

ASVEL, led by coach Toni Parker, defeated Roanne 96-77 in the third round of the French Betclic ELITE league. The match featured a family rivalry, as Toni Parker coached his team against his younger brother, TJ Parker, who leads Roanne.

This victory serves as a redemption for Parker following a loss to Roanne in the French Supercup semifinals. ASVEL maintained a strong performance, leading 45-34 at halftime and securing the win with a 25-12 fourth quarter. Tremont Waters led ASVEL with 18 points, six assists, and two steals, supported by Bot Gaach with 16 points and Hugo Besson with 14 points.

Despite a standout performance from Roanne’s Darius Johnson, who scored 29 points, the team could not overcome the deficit. ASVEL moves forward with a 3-0 record in the domestic league as they prepare for upcoming EuroLeague fixtures.
