French basketball club LDLC ASVEL announced a ten‑year extension as a permanent member of the EuroLeague, solidifying its place in Europe’s top competition despite a challenging season and a recent €25,000 fine and recruitment ban imposed by the league.

The club, led by President Tony Parker and Deputy President Gaëtan Muller, said the decision aligns with its ambition to become a central bridge between the EuroLeague and a future NBA Europe league. New strategic shareholders, including the Swiss group HelvetX with involvement from French driver Pierre Gasly, will bolster the club’s financial structure and support its broader European development goals.

Earlier speculation about a move to the Basketball Champions League or a FIBA‑run competition has been set aside, with ASVEL confirming its commitment to the EuroLeague while continuing to monitor the NBA Europe project slated for a 2027 launch.
