Aswan Governor Amr Lashin inspects Edfu healthcare and road projects

Amr Lashin, the Governor of Aswan, is conducting a series of field inspections and administrative reforms in the Edfu region to improve public services and infrastructure.

In the healthcare sector, Lashin is overseeing the development of the Edfu Chest Hospital, a 26 million EGP project that is currently 80% complete and expected to be finished by the end of the year. He also inspected the Nile Specialized Hospital, where he directed efforts to increase capacity by adding 48 beds, bringing the total to 156 beds, and emphasized the importance of the Universal Health Insurance system.

Regarding infrastructure, the Governor is reviewing plans for a new alternative ring road in Edfu to alleviate traffic congestion. Additionally, he has ordered the paving of approximately 6 kilometers of roads at a cost of 23.5 million EGP as part of the 2026/2027 investment plan.

Amidst these developmental efforts, Lashin has also focused on administrative discipline, emphasizing the need for strict monitoring of employee attendance and service efficiency to ensure citizens receive timely assistance from government offices.
