Aswan Governor Launches Fast Track Measures for License Renewals and Service Upgrades

Governor Amr Lashine of Aswan issued urgent directives, coordinated with the National Social Insurance Authority, to speed up vehicle registration and driving‑license renewals after complaints of slow processing. The authority will issue three‑month temporary driving permits for pending renewals, expand insurance services to additional offices in Daraw, Kom Ombo and Edfu, and give priority to traffic‑violation vehicles and ownership transfers at the Aswan branch.

The governor also ordered intensive field campaigns across Aswan’s districts and villages to boost cleanliness, repair infrastructure, and improve water and electricity services. Daily inspections, waste collection, street‑light repairs, and water‑line upgrades were carried out, alongside community meetings on financial inclusion and enforcement actions against illegal establishments.
