Aswan Governorate launches women's empowerment and disability rights initiatives

The Aswan Governorate is implementing several initiatives aimed at social empowerment and awareness. In Nasr al-Nuba, local authorities held meetings with women practicing traditional handicrafts to discuss challenges and explore ways to develop their projects for sustainable income.

In Kalabsha, educational seminars were organized to combat violence against women, covering physical, economic, psychological, and digital abuse, as well as the risks of female genital mutilation and early marriage. Additionally, in cooperation with the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, awareness sessions were held regarding the Integrated Services Card to inform citizens of the rights and benefits available to people with disabilities.
