Aswan health officials launch rabies prevention awareness campaign

The Aswan Health Directorate organized an awareness seminar and educational activities at the Al-Nafaq Medical Center in Aswan to educate children and families about rabies prevention. The initiative focused on the dangers of the disease and the importance of following preventive measures to avoid infection.

Health officials emphasized the necessity of seeking immediate medical attention at specialized facilities following any animal bite or scratch to receive timely evaluation and care. The program included interactive activities and the distribution of gifts to children to simplify health information and encourage safe behaviors regarding animal interactions.

The event was a collaborative effort between the Directorate of Health and the Directorate of Veterinary Medicine, aimed at raising awareness of zoonotic diseases and protecting public health.
