Aswan officials advance solar energy and industrial zone projects

Aswan Governor Amr Lashin has overseen two significant developments aimed at regional infrastructure and industrial growth.

First, officials from the Saqr Factory, part of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, met with the governor to discuss maintenance protocols for solar power stations in several villages, including Jerf Hussein, Kalabsha, Bashayer Al-Khair, Thomas, and Afia. These stations, with a total capacity of 122 kW, provide essential lighting and power for local homes and services. The initiative includes providing spare parts and training local technicians to ensure the long-term sustainability of these renewable energy sources.

In a separate development, a contract was signed to license and develop an industrial zone in New Aswan City under an industrial developer system. The agreement, signed by the General Authority for Industrial Development and the Aswan Investors Association, marks the transition to the actual implementation phase of the project. The goal is to establish a modern, integrated industrial complex with necessary infrastructure to attract local and foreign investment and create new job opportunities in the region.
