Ata Demirağ's €3 million Como Lake wedding dazzles elite guests

Turkish entrepreneur Hakan Demirağ organized a three‑day, €3 million wedding for his younger son, Ata Demirağ, at Italy’s Lake Como. The ceremony began on Friday evening at the historic Villa d’Este and continued on Saturday at the 17th‑century Villa Pizzo, a noble residence and botanical garden on the lake’s shore.

Ata Demirág married ship‑broker Rana Akdág in a lavish affair attended by numerous guests from Turkey and abroad. The event featured elaborate décor, gourmet catering, fireworks and a guest list that included prominent figures from business and society. Media reports highlighted the scale of the spending, estimating the total cost at roughly €3 million (about 165 million Turkish lira). The wedding has become one of the most talked‑about society events of the year.

Hakan Demirág, founder of HD Holding, is known for building a large Turkish restaurant chain. While his business background is noted, the focus of the coverage is the opulent celebration at Como, which underscores the family's high‑profile status in both Turkish and international social circles.
