Atacama MITTA 2050 launches regional internship campaign

The Atacama Technical Talent Intersectoral Table 2050 (MITTA) held its fifth plenary session, titled ‘From pilots to regional action,’ at the Atacama Regional Museum. Led by the Atacama Regional Government in collaboration with public and private institutions, the initiative aims to create new training and labor insertion opportunities for young people through cross-sector coordination.

A key milestone of the session was the launch of the Regional Professional Internship Campaign, which encourages companies and public institutions to participate in the training of technical professional students. Additionally, ChileValora presented opportunities for competency certification to strengthen the educational and professional trajectories of local youth.

Atacama Governor Miguel Vargas Correa stated that the initiative is focused on building a regional roadmap to ensure local talent can develop within the region by turning initiatives into concrete, continuous commitments.
