Expo Forede 2026 concludes in Copiapó with 24,000 visitors

The tenth edition of Expo Forede concluded in Copiapó, Chile, drawing approximately 24,100 visitors and facilitating over 2,200 business meetings. Organized by the Corporación para el Desarrollo de la Región de Atacama (Corproa), the event featured nearly 400 exhibitors and six technical seminars.

Discussions during the summit highlighted critical infrastructure and economic challenges for the Atacama region. Specifically, experts addressed the need for advancements in energy infrastructure, electrical transmission, and housing to support a projected investment portfolio of US$36 billion by 2036. The event also noted a projected 30% energy deficit in the region.
