Luca Percassi and Tony D'Amico under investigation after Serie A confrontation

The Federal Prosecutor's Office is investigating a heated confrontation between AS Roma Sporting Director Tony D'Amico and Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi following a Serie A match at the Stadio Olimpico.

According to reports, the incident occurred as officials were leaving the stadium. D'Amico alleges he was subjected to an unjustified and violent verbal attack by Percassi, who reportedly followed him toward the parking area. Security personnel intervened to prevent the situation from escalating.

The conflict appears to be linked to an ongoing legal dispute regarding the end of D'Amico's professional relationship with Atalanta in June. While AS Roma has publicly defended D'Amico, calling the incident unacceptable, Atalanta has rejected the club's version of events, describing it as a heated exchange between executives without further consequences.

Investigators are currently collecting testimonies from the involved parties and witnesses, including stadium stewards. The inquiry is expected to conclude within approximately one week, after which the Federal Prosecutor will decide whether to dismiss the case or pursue disciplinary action.
