Atalanta secures loan deal for Gianluca Gaetano from Cagliari

Atalanta and Cagliari have reached an agreement for the loan of 20‑year‑old forward Gianluca Gaetano. The deal, valued at about €13 million including bonuses, will see Gaetano move from Sardinia to Bergamo and earn more than double his current salary. The arrangement could also involve a loan of Daniel Maldini with an option to buy at the end of the season.

In related Cagliari transfer activity, the club is preparing a dry‑loan move for promising midfielder Roberto Malfitano, born in 2007, to Serie C side Barletta. Additional negotiations mentioned include potential moves for defender Raphael Kofler, Swiss midfielder Michel Aebischer, Leicester’s Harry Winks, and Juventus prospect Vasilije Adžić, though none are finalised yet.
