Atalanta moves to extend Ederson and Scamacca contracts as Juventus eyes midfielder
Juventus coach Massimiliano Spalletti has identified Atalanta midfielder Ederson as a preferred signing, rating him above Franck Kessié and Leon Goretzka. The transfer is stalled by a €50 million valuation and a recent meniscus issue that halted a move to Manchester United.
Atalanta, meanwhile, is preparing new contracts for both Ederson and striker Gianluca Scamacca. Ederson, whose deal expires on 30 June 2024, is being offered a four‑year extension to 2030 with a unilateral club option for 2031. Scamacca, already extended to 2028, is also being targeted for a similar 2030 deal with a pro‑club option for the following year. Both extensions aim to secure the players beyond the 2029‑30 season and avoid a free‑transfer departure.
